Goan Moolyacho Ross is a traditional Goan preparation. Ross means Goan curry and moolo means radish. This curry is similar to Goan drumstick curry or sangacho ross, but to this curry mom does not add black pepper seeds. You can have this curry with steamed rice, rava fried vegetable, stir fry or bhaji, kokum kadi, papad and salad to have a simple Goan veg lunch.

- 2 Mooli/ Mullangi (Radish) , peeled
- 1/2 cup Arhar dal (Split Toor Dal)
- 1/2 Onion , finely chopped
- 6 tablespoons Fresh coconut , grated
- 1 Green Chilli , slit
- 4 Dry Red Chillies
- 1 teaspoon Coriander (Dhania) Seeds
- Tamarind , lemon sized
- 1/2 teaspoon Jaggery , grated
- Salt , to taste
How to make Goan Moolyacho Ross Recipe - Goan Radish Dal Curry
To begin making the Goan Moolyacho Ross recipe, prep all the ingredients and keep them ready.
Cut peeled radish into 1.5-inch long finger-shaped pieces.
In a pressure cooker, combine dal, radish, chopped onion, and 1 cup water. Pressure cook for 4 whistles and turn off the heat.
Meanwhile, grind grated coconut, dry red chilies, coriander seeds, tamarind, and turmeric powder with 1/2 cup water into a thick paste using a blender.
Mix the coconut gravy with the cooked dal and radish in the pressure cooker. Add grated jaggery and mix well.
Simmer the Goan Moolyacho Ross gravy for 10 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
