Ingredients

  • 2 Nendra Pazham Banana (Ripe)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)
  • Oil , for frying

How to make Nendran Banana Jamun Recipe (Kerala Banana Jamun)

  1. To begin making the Nendran Banana Jamun, peel the fully ripe banana and cut into thin circular slices.

  2. Heat oil in pan for frying. Drop the banana slices and fry in medium flame until it turns brown on both sides.

  3. Drain excess oil in kitchen tissues and fry the remaining slices in batches.

  4. In a saucepan, add water and sugar; on a medium flame stir the mixture continuously until the sugar has dissolved. Add Cardamom powder and boil until it becomes a thick syrup. Take it off the flame and pour into a deep bowl. 

  5. Add fried banana slices and keep soaked for about 2 hours.

  6. The delicious Nendran Banana Jamun is ready.
