That smile it brings to each of ours faces, those flavour packed soft, crumbly cupcake with a fluffy frosting over it. Cupcakes are loved by both the young and the old. Not just for dessert but even as a great evening snack.
These tiny cakes, baked in individual moulds, flavoured with vanilla extract, or made into chocolate flavour, by adding cooking chocolate or cocoa powder or even chocolate chips. Cupcakes can be of various flavours including lemon, orange, butterscotch, red velvet, coffee flavoured, strawberry, nutella and the list is endless.
These flavoured cupcakes are then topped with a frosting of whipped cream, butter cream and many a times cream cheese frosting as well.
These cakes, are made by making a batter of flour, butter, sugar, and the respective flavours. The batter is made and then poured into a cupcake tray lined with cupcake liners, baked, cooled and then frosted.
These cupcakes are great to be served as desserts at dinner parties, could be served as after school snacks for kids or served alongside a cup of chai for the adults.
I really can't think of anyone who doesn't like these, oh so soft melt in the mouth goodies.
