Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black Eyed Beans (Lobia) , soaked
  • 1 Onion , finely chopped
  • 3 Cloves (Laung) , garlic
  • 2 Celery , stalks, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Homemade tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Whole Black Peppercorns , coarsely pounded
  • 2 sprig Fresh Thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • Salt , to taste

How to make Greek Style Μαυρομάτικα Recipe (Black Eyed Beans with Celery and Thyme Recipe)

  1. We begin making the Greek Style Μαυρομάτικα Recipe (Black Eyed Beans with Celery and Thyme Recipe) by soaking the black eyed peas in water for 2 hours.
