- 1 Tomato , chopped
- 1 Green Chilli , slit
- 1 tablespoon Red Chilli powder
- 1 inch Ginger , chopped
- Salt , to taste For seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu)
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
- 1 tablespoon Oil

Boil until the tamarind thickens, then switch it off. Heat a kadai with oil and temper the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
