Lots of us do not realize the importance of nuts and berries, they are extremely rich sources of minerals and proteins. Every diet specialist always recommends a handful of dry fruits in our diet in order to keep us healthy and fit. There are just umpteen varieties in dry fruits such as raisins, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, dates, plums and the list goes on. Rava Idli is made up of semolina/ rava and it is simple and easy to make. Addition of cashew nuts and carrot in the mix makes these idlis more nutritious. Pack it with a coconut chutney for your kids lunch box.

Tuesday

Potato Wraps & Fresh Fruit

Potato is a quick vegetable to make and is full of  fiber, vitamins and minerals  which help ward off disease and benefit health. They are a source of good carbs and should be included in your kids diet. Bell pepper yogurt dressing in these wraps make them delicious to eat. pack Spicy potato wraps with choice of fresh fruits.

Wednesday

Penne Pasta & Beetroot Muffins

Penne Pasta in roasted carrot sauce is a perfect kids pasta recipe. When packing pasta make sure you add more sauce to the pasta,as pasta tends to dry up over time. Red velvet muffins are made with a beetroot pure which makes them delicious and healthy. You can make a batch of muffins to pack in your kids lunch box or keep them as a snack.

Kashmiri Pulao & Mint Raita

Kashmiri Pulao is a flavourful Pulao with the goodness of dry fruits and is a favourite with kids. Adding dry fruits in your kids diet is essential as they are extremely rich sources of minerals and proteins. Pack it with a mint and pomegranate raita for a nutritious meal.

Rajma and Corn sandwich & Fresh fruits

Grilled Rajma and Corn Sandwich is a fusion sandwich which is tasty and healthy. Some prep Work that you can do is keep the rajma boiled the previous night and keep it in fridge in an airtight container. Pack it with your kids favourite fruit.
