We begin Vazhaipoo Vadai Recipe (Banana Flower Fried Savoury Snack Recipe) by soaking the chana dal and toor dal in hot water for half an hour.
Next, we move on to prepping the Banana Flower. Peel the banana flower petals and remove the white small florets inside.
Keep a container with buttermilk ready in order to add the used florets. From each banana floret, the stamen(kaalan) and the thin white coloured cover portions must be removed and should be soaked in the buttermilk.
Once the dal is soaked, drain the water and coarsely grind it in a blender. You should be able to see a few broken pieces of the dal. Keep aside.
