Through my Social Media Pages where I share my recipes, I am constantly asked questions on what appliance one should buy and which is better, etc. So I decided to list all the Essential Kitchen Appliances that I have collected over the years. I wish I had this appliance checklist when I was setting up my first kitchen, life would have been so much simpler. But oh well, I learnt along the way and now I make sure I invest in the best.
If you have a kitchen that is stocked with the least number of equipments it is possible to cook adequately. However I believe that there are certain essential appliances, which we could own in our kitchens that will make our lives easier. Not only will it make us want to get into the kitchen more but also to cook more often than we like. This would also mean you would begin experimenting with variety of ingredients and cuisines. Here are someone of them that I own. It was easy for me to do an affiliate link with Amazon and Flipkart to show you all my favourite kitchen appliances that I own and you could own them too.
A few questions I ask before I buy an appliance. May be you can ask yourself these questions too :)
1. How many times will I use this appliance?
2. If I don’t know the answer to the above, then I google to see what recipes I can make with it (Oh Yeah!! I Google too)
3. I would most often find many recipes that I can make over the coarse of the year and may be as often as once a week. Bingo, I then convince myself that its a good enough research work to buy the appliance.
4. When I am ready to buy, I check; Is there any other appliance with a good power (Watts), better brand, better rating, more reviews? One more elimination done!
5. Once the elimination work is done, I go ahead and make an investment.
So you see all the Kitchen Appliances I own below, have gone through the thought process, brand exercise, rating and elimination exercise. And yes I make sure I buy the best out there, so the number of times I have to run to a service shop is minimum. I have also listed a few of the appliances that are on my Kitchen Appliance Shopping List! I hope you enjoyed this informative post.

Oven Toaster Grill (We love homemade Gratins)
My Usage: I used to own one of these, but now I have a Wall Oven. I used this oven for Pizzas, Gratin's, French Toasts, Cakes, Cookies, Breads and so many more things. I used to put to use at least once a week now my wall oven does most of the work.
A counter-top oven is a great solution for energy-conscious, small-space cooking and kitchens. It's just big enough to bake a pie, a 13" round pizza, toast nuts, make small batches of cookies, muffins, individual cakes, roast meat, grill meat and vegetables, bake gratins, pastas, potatoes and more. Its important to separate a Microwave from its Oven, because these special ovens can withstand higher temperatures.
