Sucré is a patisserie owned and run by a good friend of mine, Suhasini Sood in Delhi. The story of Sucré is made out of memories of delicious homemade birthday cakes and a Parisian town full of magnificent patisseries and boulangeries. Sucré, meaning “sweetened” in French, was officially born in 2011 from the passion of Suhasini Sood, a woman who fell in love with baking, and after the requests of a cheering crowd of friends and family who fell in love with her desserts.
- I am so delighted that Suhasini has taken her passion forward. I knew Suhasini from our days together in Insead, Fontainebleau, France. We were living there as partners, while our husbands would be doing their MBA there. We partners would have regular lunches and potlucks. In one such potluck, I had a chance to taste Suhasini's delicious paneer. The very first time I had tasted badi elaichi in paneer. It was simply phenomenal.
- Its not just her paneer, her desserts and cakes were so close and delectable just like the ones we get at the French Cafe's. Having lived in France and travelled around the world, Suhasini has brought all that goodness, creaminess and deliciousness into her patisserie. I am so proud of her.
- And now we have all moved on from the bubble of the Insead Campus. It gives me great delight to tell you that if you live in Delhi you must visit and order from Suhasini's patisserie, Sucré because she is simply brought the famous European desserts and cakes into her kitchen!
- From Birthday Cakes, to Desserts, to Biscoties, to Cookies to Celebration Cakes, to Cup Cakes, Suhasini has it all mastered!!
