Lemon Pepper Fish Recipe is a quick stir fry of the basa fish with subtle flavors of lemon and pound pepper. The curry leaves and green chilies will also add an extra flavor and crunch to the dish along with softly cooked basa fish. The basa fish is the best that can be used for the stir fry but you are also free to add seer fish or tuna instead of basa fish.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Basa fish , cut into pieces
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu)
  • 4 cloves Garlic , chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (Saunf)
  • 2 teaspoon Whole Black Peppercorns , crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • Salt , to taste
  • Oil

How to make Lemon Pepper Fish Recipe

  1. To begin making the Lemon Pepper Fish Recipe, we will heat a kadai with oil. Add mustard seeds and allow it crackle for few seconds.

  2. Add curry leaves and allow it to crackle for few seconds. Add fennel seeds and saute for few seconds.

  3. After few seconds, add chopped garlic, green chilies and saute for few minutes till it softens.

  4. Add basa fish, sprinkle turmeric powder, crushed pepper, salt and saute till they all combine.

  5. Cook until the fish is done and serve hot. Now add lemon juice on it and mix everything properly.

  6. Serve the Lemon Pepper Fish Recipe along with Peppery Mushroom BiryaniPalak Raita and salad by the side to make it a complete meal.
